Based on a referral from the Last Lap Gang, I took reporter Rich McNey of the Bay Times out on a successful geocache adventure.
We hit both “Fear the Turtle” sites in Terrapin Park on Kent Island this past Saturday, 28 February 2004. You can find the two caches listed in a zip code search of 21619. The article should appear this Wednesday, March 3rd, with greater coverage in the Easton paper TBD – will post links. Rick heard about geocaching originally from being a volunteer part-time ranger at Lake Waterford Park in Pasadena (home of at least one cache). He was quoted at the end of our trip (which required us to go knee-deep in the muddy marsh) “Wow – this is not as easy as I expected…” You couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day – see the five photos uploaded.
