A geo-friend is coming all the way over from Kassel, Germany to cache in our area and want to introduce him to the ‘locals’. Come on out and say ‘hello’ to geoPirat (Carsten Fischer) who was highlighted in Today’s Cacher 08/05 edition. He presently holds the record for Most Cache Finds in 24 hrs.
We will meet the Thursday, Oct. 20th (date hidden = date of event) for dinner at 6 pm @Red Robin – Hershey
621 Park Ave. Hershey, PA 17033

I’d like to invite all our MGS friends to this event. You will not regret meeting Carsten as he has a delightful sense of humor. There might even be a ‘modified night cache run’ as we have a couple of options open. There is a night cache along the Appalachian Trail so there is the potential to combine 3 caches for a total of 7.5 miles, finishing up with the night cache. I’ve hiked both segments of the A.T. out there and the return section from the night cache is less rocky and more level. It would be a different experience. Doc’s Hawk Rock Box by DocDiTTo (GCQ6QZ); Cove Mountain Twenty-Dollar Cache by Bezabor (GCHDFK) and Cove Mountain “Lights-in-the-Night” Night-Cache by Bezabor and Markie Maypo (GCHF0J). If time allows or depending on interest, we can either do a typical urban night run in addition or concurrent with the above.
Also geoPirat (Carsten) is seeking a geocacher who is familiar with the District of Columbia area and would be willing to give of their time to escort him around the area. There would be no expectation of completing the entire DC circuit of geocaches but rather, carve out an interesting potpourri of historically and compelling points of interest as his daughter will be also along for this visit.
How about it? Is there anyone out there that would be interested in showing off our country’s capital?
Thank you in advance and looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
