GeoWoodstock has been created as an excellent event to bring the geocaching community at large together. Some of you have participated in a GeoWoodstock event and experienced the fun first hand. The event has roughly 2,000 participants. It is usually held on the Saturday before Memorial Day. It would be quite an honor for MGS and NoVAGO to be able to host one of these great events. Still, with such an event comes a great deal of planning and work. We will need as much support as we can get from our active membership and that of NoVAGO. To begin the process we will need to establish a GW7 committee as soon as possible to work the initial details to develop a proposal. KEEP IN MIND THAT AT THIS POINT THAT IS ALL WE ARE DOING, DEVELOPING A PROPOSAL TO SUBMIT TO THE GEOWOODSTOCK COMMITTEE. If you are interested in helping out with this effort, please let either myself or Simulatmore know. To keep on schedule we should have a committee stood up by the end of this month (August 31, 2007). I would estimate that the initial time commitment would probably be around a couple of hours a month just to meet and discuss options. If you have other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. We will set up a thread in the forums for this as well.
