MGS License Plate Inventory

Besides a couple of picnics and CAM caches, this is the first time I've ever noticed MGS tags in the wild.

While I was riding a shuttle bus on Wednesday morning through a parking lot of an office building in the Annapolis Junction area, I spotted MGS0007. If Fritz_Monroe works there and wasn't just visiting, then there are two MGS vehicles within about a quarter mile.

Parked along Charles Street downtown today and when I returned I noted the car in front of mine had license #MGS 882.

Joejackson if you are ever back in Annapolis Junction look out for plate 0052. It also has a travel bug on the back of it. I work there and I've never noticed another MGS plate. A few years ago Trev told me there was a cacher who worked at Booze Allen and he hid the cache that was behind that building.

"They Served In Silence" (http://coord.info/GCQVMJ) is the scene of one of my most embarrassing caching moments. After taking our time and getting as much out of stage 1 as thought 9-year-old MeatballMatt could take, we headed off to stage 2 parking. By the time we got ourselves organized (drinks, backpack, etc.) I completely forgot to change the GPS to point to the cache instead of the parking coordinates. We circled the car a couple of times, and I actually thought about moving the car to see what I may have parked over before the light bulb went on!

I'll be looking for 0052. I work just a little further up the road from Joe's Cafe, and the Booz Allen building. Watch for me trolling the parking lots looking for your car! The mighty geovan (0030) has a travel bug in the back window, but the tint and the dirt make it all but impossible to see.

Sounds like there are a few of us in Annapolis Junction. Myself and at least 3 other cachers work there also, but we don't have MGS tags.

We should get together one day after work or something and hit up a cache or two.

They Served in Silence was one of my worst caches too. We looked for it on a weekend in the fall I think. I was wearig a hooded sweat shirt. After we got back in the car and pulled out of our parkng space but we were still in the parking lot George stops the car and tells me to get out, I thought he was joking but then he tells again to get out of the car. His tone and seriousness was scaring me. So I got out of the car and he tells me I have a spider on my hood. That was it for me. I was screaming and near hysterics George ran around to me and swatted it off. He said it was one of the biggest spiders he had ever seen. Then I had to take off my hoodie and have him check out the rest of my clothes to make sure there was nothing else crawling around.

The funny thing is that there was a plain car MP in the parking lot and he never noticed. If he did he didn't think a screaming hysterical woman was worh investigating.

BTW the travel bug on our car is new. I've had it since Mother's Day and no one has logged it yet. So happy hunting.

Each DMV location has different tags available.

We got ours from the Glen Burnie DMV and they were in the 50's.
