Re: What are your 2013 Caching Goals?
1. MML - done
2. CAM - done
3. Get at least 50 caches a month - not quite there but thanks to MML and CAM I am at a good average
4. Finish Delorme DE - need two more pages
5. Get CAA for NC, SC, GA, FL, PA, AL, MS, LA and OK
6. Finish Jasmer - I might only 5 more, but might only be able to do 3.
7. Get last virtual in MD that I haven't found- Sideling Hill

Our goal is always the same.
Have fun wherever the trails take us.
Sometimes it's not so fun until we think about it later.

Re: What are your 2013 Caching Goals?
Well, I haven't been too active since going back to school. The 14-18 hour days of lectures, labs and studying have left not much time for finding caches. My goal is to find more caches than last year.
I just got back from a mini vacation and found two in Delaware whilst there.
That's just my numbers goal.
Another goal that I have to to maybe find a buddy to cache with. Been looking on the forum for local geocachers in Carroll Co. that want a friend to go around with.
I think that's about it for the goals. Really love the game when I have time.
Cheers

Re: What are your 2013 Caching Goals?
This might be sad but I achieved one of my goals. I wanted to double the amount of caches found relative to last year. Well, last year, I didn't find any. This year I've found 6 so far. Also, discovered when I return to campus in the fall, there are two on campus that I can grab easily.
An additional goal is to figure out how to get my signature tag to work properly!

Re: What are your 2013 Caching Goals?
Try using the BBcode instead of html
This code should do it
Here is your stat block using the BBcode above
That lets you get two things off your goal list
Code: Select all

2) The only type of caches I have not yet placed on Geocaching.com, that are still allowed, are a Letterbox and an Earthcache. Thus I'd like to put out at least one of each.
3) I'd like to host at least one event this year, maybe for ice cream again.
(*) As I mentioned in the other thread, I'm keeping my goals light, as I applied to graduate school, so if accepted, that comes first (including all the prep work that I'm already starting).
Well, I only meant to get a few more D/T's this year, but today I finished them all off! (unless someone else convinces a cache owner to change a D/T rating... ) And I have an ice cream event scheduled for this coming Sunday. School starts soon (I'm already running into issues), so #2 may become a 2014 goal.

Re: What are your 2013 Caching Goals?
So, I've kind of exceeded my goals for the year. I know .... set the bar low enough and all that jazz. But I've found quite a few this summer and even have two caches placed (one published this morning).
This has been a fun hobby so far. I even went to a local meet-up and met a lot of great people. I've discovered some really cool places and interesting things during my caching travels. There have even been places in town that I had never been before firing up the Geocaching app or loading coordinates on the the GPSr.
Since my short goals were achieved for this year, I've decided to add a couple more to the list.
1. Place at least 2 more caches
2. Find at least 10 more caches.
It doesn't sound like much, but after the semester starts my time will be limited.

Re: What are your 2013 Caching Goals?
Looks to me your having fun - What more could you ask. Cache on and enjoy. Oh skip a few of those labs and classes and you should do all right with the caching, but not sure that there are all that many job openings for paid caching positions. I keep looking for one - haven't found one yet.xanxer82 wrote:So, I've kind of exceeded my goals for the year. I know .... set the bar low enough and all that jazz. I just can't figure that one out Moonpie... why CAN'T I get paid to do this??? THAT would just solve EVERYTHING!!!Moonpie10 wrote: not sure that there are all that many job openings for paid caching positions. I keep looking for one - haven't found one yet.
Actually... my husband says if they (you know... those invisible they's) PAID me to do this I wouldn't WANT to! He says I ONLY enjoy volunteer work! I think he may be right...

Re: What are your 2013 Caching Goals?
I didn't post any goals for 2013, but, I've completed several:
- squared away the 'Jasmer' challenge with at least one find on caches published each month (May ->) in 2000. I need 1 more find each on caches published in August, Sept and November to qualify for the double Jasmer - this may be a next year's goal.
- brought my virtual cache finds to over 100, including finding all active in MD & DE.
- as a goal for 2012, I posted doing more hiking, kayaking and climbing caches. I later realized climbing is not for me, but have focused more on hiking and water caches, with a higher average terrain on cache finds this year.
- visited many awesome scenic locations.
- found the Charles County ADC Challenge which I had been working on for years. Also qualifying for the St Marys County ADC Challenge, it's on my list when I next visit So MD - after the chiggers are gone for the year I think!

Re: What are your 2013 Caching Goals?
1-3 done and 4 should be completed in the next few weeks. Hide #101 is also in the works...coupleocachers wrote:1. Finish the days cached on calendar (we just have this Friday left)
2. Finish the new MML
3. Finish CAM
4. Place our 100th cache (currently sitting at 99)
With buying a house in hopefully March or April and a baby in May we're going to keep the list short this year.
