Was about to order some new pathtags when I heard about GxProxy.com. It looks like they make something vary similar to pathtags and are cheaper. 150 SigMarx for $99 versus 50 pathtags for $110. They are trackable and loggable on http://geokrety.org.

Anyone have any experience.

I have two different SigMarx. (Not my Sigmarx, sigmarxs of other cachers). They are nice, but keep in mind that you'll lose the options for various colors. Pathtags are now limited to 10 colors though. Sigmarx are basically two colors, the color of the tag, and the white underneath (and the lightness in between as they etch away the outer color)

I really like the stuff I got at GXProxy. I ordered some engraved bison tubes and some geowhistles, and both got good reviews from cachers. I don't have much experience with geokrety but tracking at gc.com seems to be the gold standard and that costs extra. I do like the sigmarx but it might be better to order one or get your hands on one to see what they feel and look like. My sense is that they are a little different and maybe an acquired tastes.

Oh, I forgot to comment about the geokrety. About a year ago I released two identical travelers in a "TB race." One with a groundspeak travel bug, the other with a geokrety. Both got picked up, but the geokrety vanished after being picked up, the TB is still going along. Granted, that's just one datapoint.
