ATTENTION ALL CAM CACHERS!

We were notified by Patuxent River Park Management regarding cachers not using the child waypoints and bushwacking through the wetlands, getting too close to the eagles nest. In an effort to protect the sensitive environment and newly hatched eaglets, we were asked to move the Prince George’s CAM cache.

The cache is now placed near the trailhead with the updated cords below. From this point you can get a view of the eagles, however we ask that you please stay on the trail and DO NOT GO INTO THE WETLANDS attempting to get a better look. The parents have become upset and the park naturalist does not want any harm coming to the newly hatched eaglets.

We were fortunate the park didn't ask us to completely remove the CAM cache which was only made possible because of contacts within their organization. Please carefully consider your choices when seeking any of the CAM caches as just one lack of good judgement could damage relations with any of the parks in which we enjoy caching.

A container was left at the original GZ with the redirect for those that may not get the change promptly and I will be updating the PDF and GPX file shortly in the download areas.

The Munzee will also have to be adjusted which may take a little while, so some may get a distance error when trying to scan until it's position can be updated.

CAM 2013 - Eastern Shore has been reported missing, the hider has been notified and is on the case! It's expected to be replaced sometime tomorrow but I will update the status here once I have confirmation of replacement. This particular cache is in a muggle rich environment, so please take the extra few minutes to cover it well.

• Drop-Off completed CAM Passport at Sign-In Table.
• Note the change this year that CAM Completion Certificates and Coin will be picked up at the sign-in table.
