While in the Frederick area, Dickey's Barbeque Pit is a great place to check out. They're just off Route 26, across Monocacy Blvd. from, and facing, WalMart. :smt006

I've been to Randy's in Hughesville this year - their portions are HUGE, but I've been to many (IMO) much better BBQ joints. If you stop, I suggest sharing your order with a friend, or make space in your cooler for the left-overs.

We did not discover this last year during CAM, but later when my Folks and I went out to Western MD in June.

Out for a ride, I talked them into hitting a few Caches

This one: http://coord.info/GC3JW21 came up in our path.

It's at Archie's BBQ. The Food was Awesome!

With CAM 2014 just around the corner, I think I've got Dad's interest in helping me make the trek out to the Western CAMS *wherever they fall* as long as we stop by here.

We will each have our $50 on hand for the Mountain Man Challenge!!! }:^)

For this CAM, we stopped for lunch at The Alamo Restaurant, on Kennilworth Ave near Greenbelt Park. This is a place we have known for 40 years and serves good Mexican food at very reasonable prices. Try it if you are looking for lunch or dinner after doing Greenbelt Park. mdc

On our way to Blackwater, we stopped at The BBQ Joint in Easton for a quick lunch. It's a sit down restaurant, but they were super fast getting our food out and the pulled pork sandwich was THE BEST pulled pork I've ever had! Easton is a nice little town too!

An EXCELLENT stop whenever you are in Hancock! Definitely a 'go to' spot for the SeeKPeeKRs when we travel out "west."

Yes, the Ruddy Duck is good; it's in Dowell, MD which is pretty much the southern end of Calvert County (Solomons, MD). Now, if you want REALLY GOOD beer, you have to go to Mully's Brewery in Prince Frederick, MD! Mully's is less than 5 miles from my house, so if you are in the area, give me a holler and I'll treat you to your first pint! :smt004
