2015 MGS Fundraising

Post by deepdish23 »

Besides the 50/50 raffle, our summer picnic auction, selling of MGS coins, etc. we do at our various events we host, another way the MGS raises funds to cover the cost of CAM and our other events was to raffle off a GPS device. With more and more cachers using smart phones to geocache, we decided to move in a different direction for our fundraising item this year.
For 2015, we will be raffling off a pathtag starter kit to create your very own personal pathtag. Included in the pathtag starter kit will be a gift certificate from Pathtags.com which consists of a starter kit, 50 pathtags and shipping. In addition, included in the raffle the MGS will add $30 which can be used however you want, whether to get your personal pathtag professionally made, or to add something special to the pathtag, or to increase your order for more than 50 tags.
Raffle tickets will be sold at the CAM picnic, summer picnic, fall CITO, and fall picnic and the winner will be announced at the fall picnic. You will not have to be present at the fall picnic to win the raffle. Tickets will be sold for $5 a piece and 5 for $20.

Recently, my Masonic Lodge launched a Teespring.com shirt campaign. The designs are simple to create and they make shirts for men, women and children. We were able to adjust the pricing but in the end, it was almost a 50/50 split on the profits from the sales. It's a much better fundraising site than cafepress. Just an FYI. If you need more info, feel free to contact me.
