I refuse to wade into the cesspit that is the official Geocaching forums... has there been any rumblings about another round of Virtual geocaches being rewarded? I would really like to get my hands on one.

There was some conversation about this in the various podcasts a few months ago, including some with folks who work at GCHQ. The way I took it was GCHQ was satisfied with the current situation following the second round and that there were no current plans to do another round but that it definitely wasn't ruled out for the future. I would look for the GeocacheTalk episodes with Brian Roth if you want to hear it from the source although it may have been a different podcast.

My fingers are crossed for the future. It does seem like they are focused on Adventures at the moment but that also seems to be tapering off.
