Putting Some of Our Psycho Urban Caches Up for Adoption

Post by Vinny »

Due to the ever-increasing demands of my work in other realms, I have, after consultation with my wife Sue (the other half of the Vinny & Sue Team), decided to put some of my Psycho Urban Caches up for adoption, as we have given them each well over ten years of support and maintenance (well, in addition to having emplaced them originally).

For any of the Psycho caches on the list for which we do not find a suitable adoptive parent within the next three weeks (that is, by June 15), we plan on archiving them.

The five PUCs that we are putting up for adoption at this point are listed below:

Psycho Urban Cache #1 - Calm Before the Storm https://coord.info/GCQ8YA

Psycho Urban Cache #7 - A Good Day to Die https://coord.info/GCQHBH

Psycho Urban Cache #8 - Ghost in Ancient Citadel https://coord.info/GCT66Z

Psycho Urban Cache #10 - Derelict Grunge Acropolis https://coord.info/GCT9NC

Psycho Urban Cache #14 - Cliffside Catacombs https://coord.info/GC106R4

Please note that pretty much the only PUCs that we are not putting up for adoption at this point, other than the two island caches (which Sue will continue to maintain for now), are PUC#9 and PUC#13, because, frankly, each of those caches have their final (or only stage, in the case of PUC#13) emplaced in a rather inaccessible and dangerous 5/5 (aka "extreme") location, and it is highly unlikely that anyone in their right mind would want to take on the task of trying to maintain either of those two caches!

If you are interested in adopting any of the Psycho Urban Caches that I have listed above, please contact Sue, as she will be handling the intricacies of the adoption process; she will post a note immediately above/below mine to remind interested parties of her contact information.

BTW, I am posting this note to both the MGS forum and to the MGS Facebook page.

Finally, to all of you who have hunted or found any of the Psycho Urban Caches over the years, thank you for your interest in them!

We plan to keep PUC's 11 & 12 on islands in the Monocacy as well as 9 & 13.

Please either contact me privately (sue.cat111@gmail.com) or via this thread if you would like to adopt any of our puc's that Vinny mentioned. I already have a new caring owner for puc's 8 & 10 although I am not positive he wants to visit #10 again. :)

Update: I've had a few good responses privately for all except #14 and am waiting a day or 2 for others to see this post before sending out adoption requests. (FYI, I'll be out caching tomorrow and may be slow to respond to messages.)

All 5 PUC's up for adoption have been adopted. Thank you to all who adopted as well as those who offered! I'd like to extend a special thanks to Death Wish Dave for helping me maintain 8 & 10 over the years and also the cachers who've helped maintain PUC 7.
