The 2019 MGS Summer Picnic will be held at the Old National Pike District Park on Saturday, July 20th, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Shelter #2). Please post in this thread which food items you plan to bring to the potluck picnic and whether you'd like to help with grilling or clean-up. We'll keep updating the list as your posts are received.

VOLUNTEERS

SET-UP (10:30-11am)


GRILLING (½-hour shifts)

Grill boss -
(arrives at 10:00 to organize and start grills to begin cooking by 10:30 and then turns over to grillers)

10:30–11:00 -
11:00–11:30 -
11:30–Noon -
Noon–12:30 -


CLEAN-UP (3:30–4pm) Many hands make light work!



FOOD

MEATS
If you bring burgers or dogs, please also bring the same number of buns. Request one bringer of hamburgers arrive at ~10:30 to allow us to get a head start on the grilling.


SIDES


SALADS
- mac salad (CachingRookie78)


FRUITS/VEGGIES
- watermelon (Shenanagan)


SNACKS
- chips (littleblkdog)
- assorted snack-size chips (acadiacats and Warlock 0714)

DESSERTS
- cheesecake (J.J.PEW)
- cupcakes (J.J.PEW)


DRINKS


CONDIMENTS
- ketchup, mustard, relish (hunterKat)


PAPER PRODUCTS
We have enough plasticware, paper plates, napkins and paper towels to cover this picnic! Thanks!


MISC.
- charcoal (littleblkdog)

Excited to come!! This will be my first time attending. Will bring Mac Salad, several large bowls. Do I need to include a list of all ingredients? Not a problem if I do. Thank you so much!! - Amy

Amy, there hasn't seemed to be any concern about ingredients in the past several years. If you are using something really odd, like blowfish, then yes, please post. Otherwise, you should be okay.

Not to go too far off topic, but if my first taste of blowfish was at the MGS Summer Picnic, I'd totally give it a shot!
