I am so bummed. I really doubt that I will have a PMR hired and trained prior to the 1st! I want to go. This sounds like so much fun and even if I jumped in the truck after work, I'd never get there before it was over. Do you think anyone would notice if I closed the post office?

We have extended an invitation to several geo swag & coin vendors to set-up a display at the event. I am pleased to report that CH Quality Coins will be a vendor at the event. As other vendors come on board, I will post it here.

At least one person will be flying in from Seattle (aka Groundspeak Headquarters) to attend. This is going to be exciting.

I saw Shauna's will attend pop up in my mailbox yesterday and wondered thought the name looked familiar from the Groundspeak logs I get from time to time. Wow, this is really going to be some event; makes me wonder what that 'huge' project is to get attention from the top...

Just to give everyone a quick update...

The Core met with the Scottish Rite yesterday to go over the logistics for the event. We think everyone will enjoy this special venue.

Staff from Groundspeak will be in attendance and we hope to have 2 to 4 geo swag vendors. To date, we have CH Quality coins confirmed.

If you plan on attending, please RSVP on the event page. This will help the Scottish Rite with planning & preparing for the event.

The main event will be held in the parking area behind the building. They will have a large tent set-up but we will need to provide 2 or 3 pop-ups. Please let us know if you have a pop-up you are willing to lend for the event. The Scottish Rite is providing all the basic necessities, folding tables, chairs, trash cans, security, etc...

The event will begin at 10:00 with annoucements. Maybe even a surprise or two :o
The Scottish Rite is also working on a very special trackable geocoin for the event!

Tours will begin at 10:30. You will need to get in-line at the main entrance and they will take groups of 25 to 30 every 15 minutes or as needed. The Scottish Rite have planned to have plenty of tour guides available.

Dr. Morris will give his presentation at 11:00. Depending on the weather, it may be held under the tent or inside the building. We have received requests from cachers all over the east coast asking that his session be taped and played via the internet. The Scottish Rite is making arrangments to have the session recorded.

At 1:00 we will have special door prize drawings.
LPYankeeFan will also coordinate a cache run that will leave from the temple shortly after the door prize give-away. If you are interested in organizing a cache run, let us know.

We will have bottled water and light snacks available at the event.

We could use a few helpers at the sign-in table, refreshment booth and clean-up. If you are interested in lending a hand, please post here.

We hope everyone will be able to join us for this special event!

Thanks to the MGS officers who are working on this endeavor, it has been a lot of work behind the scenes with the event, the caches, and the projects beyond.

This Is It Cachers & Friends, an opportunity to assist with the The Big Event. We appreciated so much those who have offered to help; we need more though.

The photo-ops here should be awesome; pray for pristine weather. And bring those cameras!
