Does anyone here keep in touch with VerySmartGirl? I heard yesterday at the MGS picnic that she moved out west. Is someone maintaining her caches?

Re: VerySmartGirl
It's my understanding she moved to Colorado years ago. She hasn't been an active cacher for years. Maybe someday she'll return to the game. Until then, I believe DeathwishDave has been keeping an eyeball out on her caches. Please set me straight if my perspective is incorrect, Dave. AIV made attempts to contact her over a year ago. With the goal of persuading her to let him adopt her caches. She never responded.

I found one of her caches vandalized and offered to help with replacing it but did not get a response. What should I do? Just go ahead and replace it or should it just be archived?Bohicarico wrote:It's my understanding she moved to Colorado years ago. She hasn't been an active cacher for years. It's good policy to help maintain caches and I applaud those that help but.......
For cachers that are no longer in the game, I think it is best to let their caches be archived so someone who is willing to hide a cache and maintain it has the chance.
Of course, "special" caches may be another story. You can define what "special" means to you.

Re: VerySmartGirl
It's been a while since I remembered to browse these forums. Sorry for the two-month late delay. I do have a watch on the VSG ones in Cromwell Valley Park, at the request of the rangers there. I've replaced a couple and archived and re-done a couple as well. At this point, unless it's a great cache (Eratosthenes is one of them since it's a good puzzle), I'm going to let them go. I am challenged enough to keep my own caches in place anymore!Bohicarico wrote:It's my understanding she moved to Colorado years ago. She hasn't been an active cacher for years.
