MGS has been running a yearly CAM teaser map thread since at least 2016. It is a diabolical idea so we are going to keep it running. Enjoy the fun!
A color-coded map of Maryland counties and other information will gradually be revealed leading up to the CAM KICKOFF events. More info is posted here.
Counties will be colored BLACK for YES (there definitely is a CAM cache hidden somewhere in that county); some will be colored YELLOW for NO (there definitely is not); and the rest will remain BLANK/WHITE for MAYBE (maybe there is a CAM hide in that county, maybe there isn’t).
Subscribe to this thread to be notified when an updated map is posted! The small print: This is meant in good fun. Part of CAM is the suspense. If you can't take the suspense or good natured humor, don't subscribe to this thread and enjoy the reveal on kick-off day. If you have a complaint, file it with the MGS President.
Here is the first map which wasn't revealed at the recent Meet the Officers event. None of the CAM 2019 caches are definitely NOT hidden in the RED area:
So we did something new for CAM this year. We entered into a corporate partnership with a certain company to greatly expand and redefine our CAM this year. We had to make one sacrifice. No caching on Sundays. In exchange you get lots of CAM and frozen lemonade. Thanks to ******* (redacted for his safety) for the great idea and the connections to make it happen. We are definitely not doing this. Geocaching is a mostly 24/7 365 activity! (but please respect park operating hours)
