I strolled up to Racer's Cafe last night, bagpipes in hand for band practice, and what should I spy but plate MGS 0040. Not on the list. Meant to get the travel bug number but I was running late.

I stopped by Glen Burnie to turn in my form and payment, but since Gaithersburg hadn't updated their computers, I decided to NOT re-pay my registration just to get plate #85...so we'll see what comes in the mail (hopefully this week).

Anybody know what the next plate in line is? Is it still #86, or have we moved on? I'm holding off for #88. Hope it's not taken.

I want one but I guess I won't get one as I already have a special plate. HDV (Honorably Discharged Veteran). Can we have more than two plates on a vehicle

I called in and the next one in line is #86. Looks like my lucky number of #88 isn't taken after all. Now just to get two other cachers to get plates before I get mine! If you're ever wondering what plate is the next in line a good number is (410) 787-2991 for Organizational Plate Services.

Just called Plate Services (thanks for the number, Shenanagan!) and was told the next plate ‘on the shelf’ is #0087.

My notes say that 86 belongs to Cooley1103, but that's not included in the last update DudleyGrunt posted.

I'm still wondering who was driving #85 down Rt 32 in the Annapolis Junction / Savage area a few days ago!
