The skies have cleared, temperatures have risen and the schools are empty. It can all just mean one thing, summer is officially here and it’s time for the MGS Summer Picnic! This year the summer picnic will be held on Saturday July 13th at Patuxent River Park in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The MGS Summer picnic is our primary fundraising event, it will feature a silent auction with many items from popular geocaching websites, along with generous donations from our fellow members.
All proceeds go towards financing all the MGS events during the year including our most prestigious, CAM (Cache Across Maryland). We will also be announcing the results of the MGS Annual Awards voting. As always there will be lots of great food, raffle prizes and of course some new caches. I hope to see everyone at the park!
